In 2011, I had my first panic attack, which started a five-year downward spiral of anxiety, depression and alcohol misuse. At my lowest point, I was afraid of leaving the house, had trouble falling asleep at night, and felt like there was no way out! In the end my desperation led me to seek help wherever I could and that would begin my long road to recovery. In the beginning like many of us, I turned to psychiatry thinking that would fix me. In the end I realized it would take a lot more than just a pill to find my way to health & happiness.
Mynd Mvmt is what I needed.
Had I known back then what I know now, I could have recovered much faster. Mynd Mvmt gives clients the power, knowledge and support they need to succeed in anything in life – and to make changes in months, not years. Now, I use Mynd Mvmt’s tools to make changes in my life.
Because of what I went through and my passion for health and fitness, I have dedicated my life to helping others achieve their optimal health, both mentally and physically.
As a nutrition coach, I put the focus on the client. It is about empowering clients to take control of their health and the choices they make. It is about creating awareness around our eating habits, not just what we eat, but how we eat and how we live our lives.
Aside from health and fitness, I love experiencing new cultures, food, and life while meeting people from all over the world. The arts and entertainment are equally important to me and have always been a huge part of my life.
In the past five years, volunteering has become another big passion of mine as it allows me to work with others on subject matters that I believe in and I get to meet different types of people from all walks of life. Some of my volunteering has included working with Stonewall in London and spending a month in Nepal working on construction projects and mentoring vulnerable people as they come out of prison.
